When the Abacus application has been idle, it will log out the current user and display either the Lock Screen or the User Screen. There are two ways to log in from the Lock Screen:
PIN: Use a PIN, where each PIN is associated with a specific user.
Password: Select a user and enter their password.
Set password/PIN
Go to Users.
2. Go to the User Details.
3. Fill in a Password or a PIN.
4. Click Save.
5. Repeat for each user.
6. On Abacus POS (iPad), go to Settings > Sync > Sync Staff List.
Set Logout Time
Go to Settings.
Tap the grey field next to B4. Cashier Auto Logout Time and enter the number of seconds you want Abacus POS to be idle before the current user is signed out.
Tap Save to Server so this setting can be remembered.
Log in with password
Go to Settings and enable setting B1. ENFORCE USER PASSWORD
Tap Save to Server so this setting can be remembered.
When a user logs out, or when the iPad has been idle, the User Screen will appear.
Select your User and enter the Password.
Log in with PIN
Go to Settings and enable setting A8. USE LOCK SCREEN.
Tap Save to Server so this setting can be remembered.
When a user logs out, or when the iPad has been idle, the Lock Screen will appear.
Enter the PIN corresponding to your user.
