By default, when customers place orders, there is no place to add notes.

However, customers can add item notes if you enable them. They cannot add notes for the whole order, only for specific items.

To allow customers to add item notes:

  1. Tap on Powered by ABACUS in the top right corner

  2. Scroll down and toggle on Enable Note

  3. Tap Powered by ABACUS to exit the settings

When customers select a product, a popup will appear which will prompt them to Add a note.

This note will be underneath the product name on:

  • The order docket

  • The KDS virtual docket

The note will not be added to the receipt.
