To ensure your Point of Sale (POS) terminals remain connected to the correct network and avoid disruptions caused by automatically connecting to the wrong network, you can make your iPads "forget" the unwanted wireless networks. This will prevent them from reconnecting to those networks in the future. Here's a simple step-by-step guide:

Steps to Make an iPad Forget a Wi-Fi Network:

  1. Go to the iPad’s Home Screen:

    • Start by unlocking the iPad and navigating to the Home Screen.

2. Open the Settings App:

  • Locate the Settings icon (it looks like a gear) and tap on it.

    3. Go to Wi-Fi Settings:

    • In the Settings menu, find and tap on Wi-Fi.

    • You’ll see a list of available networks. The network you’re currently connected to will have a tick (✓) next to it.

4. Select the Network to Forget:

  • Find the network you want the iPad to forget and tap the information icon (i) next to it.

5. Forget the Network:

  • On the next screen, tap Forget This Network.

  • Confirm the action if prompted. The iPad will now disconnect from that network and will no longer attempt to reconnect automatically.

By following these steps, you ensure that all your POS terminals are consistently connected to the correct network, reducing the likelihood of disconnections.
