Quick answer: From Nomni Kiosk 1.0.81, the yellow membership banner shows at the top of every menu page while customers order, not just on the Home page. The old yellow sign-in bar at the bottom of the screen is gone on portrait (upright) kiosks.
This article is for venue owners and managers who run the Nomni Kiosk (Android) with membership or loyalty switched on.
What changed
The banner now stays on screen. Before 1.0.81 the membership banner showed only on the Home page. Now it shows at the top of every menu page, so customers can sign in at any point before they check out.
The bottom sign-in bar is gone on portrait kiosks. The yellow bar along the bottom of the menu (Sign in and "Scan your Membership QR to redeem & earn") has been removed, so customers see one membership banner instead of two.
Landscape kiosks are not affected. A kiosk mounted sideways keeps the bottom member bar as before.
What customers see
Customers who haven't signed in
The banner says "Earn [your points name] with every order." with a Join / Login button.
The customer taps the banner or Join / Login.
The kiosk opens the membership sign-in screen. Depending on your settings, that is the scan-your-QR screen or the choice to sign in with a mobile number.
After signing in, they carry on ordering.
What you should see: the banner switches to the member view straight away.
Signed-in members
The banner shows:
"Hi, [member name]" (or "Hi, Guest" if the member has no name saved)
Their membership level, for example "Gold Member", if your program uses levels
Their available balance and your loyalty program name
How to update your kiosk to 1.0.81
Open Nomni Store on a phone or computer (the app, or nomni-store.web.app).
Tap your kiosk app: Kiosk (Android), Kiosk Sunmi, T-series or N-series.
Tap Install latest (STABLE), then Install on this device.
Scan the QR code with the kiosk and tap Approve on your phone.
On the kiosk, open the downloaded file and tap Update. If asked, allow Install unknown apps.
Place a test order.
What you should see: the yellow banner sits under the page title on every menu category, and there is no yellow bar above the Restart and Checkout buttons.
If something goes wrong
The membership banner doesn't show at all
In Nomni Console, open the Kiosk Setting page and go to GENERAL SETTINGS.
Check that Enable Membership/Loyalty is on, then tap Save General Settings.
The kiosk picks up the change by itself while it is running.
The kiosk still shows the yellow bar at the bottom
If the kiosk is portrait (upright), it isn't on 1.0.81 yet. Follow the update steps above.
If the kiosk is landscape (sideways), this is expected. Landscape kiosks keep the bottom member bar.
The wrong member is signed in
Portrait kiosks no longer show the remove-member button from the old bottom bar. Tap Restart and confirm to clear the order, then start again and sign in as the right member.
