Quick answer: Add your gift card product to the order. On the screen "Please scan or input QR code for purchase", choose Gift Card or Voucher, scan the card's QR code or tap AUTO GENERATE, enter the Amount and Expiry date, then confirm and take payment as normal.
This article is for front-of-house staff and managers using Nomni POS on an Android POS terminal. Your venue needs a gift card or voucher product set up on the menu.
Sell a gift card or voucher
On the order screen, tap your gift card or voucher product.
On "Please scan or input QR code for purchase", tap Gift Card or Voucher.
Scan the QR code on the card with the camera. You can also type an existing code into QR Code, or tap AUTO GENERATE to create a new one. Use INVERT CAMERA to switch cameras.
Enter the Amount. If the product has a fixed price, the amount is already filled in.
Enter the Expiry date as day, month and year.
Turn on Print copy to print the code for the customer.
Confirm, then take payment for the order.
What you should see: The gift card or voucher on the order. After payment, the customer can use the code.
Venues using NFC gift cards
If your venue uses NFC cards, the POS shows "Please Scan NFC Card on CFD or Input code" instead. Hold the card to the customer display, or type the Card No., enter the amount and tap Top up.
