Dos and Don'ts

Do

  • Do follow this guide before seeking support
  • Do contact support@abacus.co for all reporting enquiries
  • Do contact support via live chat for issues affecting your trade, or for further questions
  • Do specify your store name if accessing live chat through your own smartphone
  • Do ask your manager for help if you need access to a restricted feature

Do not

  • Do not unplug, move, restart, reset, turn off, or otherwise interfere with your router or your access point
  • Do not contact the Abacus sales line for support
  • Do not continue to try to log in if you are having login issues; if you fail to log in too many times, your IP address will be blocked and you will be unable to use Abacus

Basic POS Operations

Refunds

  1. Go to Order History.
  2. Swipe left on the order you wish to refund.
  3. Press Refund.

4. Select the reason for the refund.
These reasons can be preconfigured by a manager on the backend (POS > POS Settings > Refund Reasons).
5. Tick the items you want to refund.
6. Select the payment method through which you wish to perform the refund: Cash or Credit Card.
Cash payments cannot be refunded through credit card.

Syncing

If you are instructed to Get Server Settings or to perform a Master Sync...

Get Server Settings

  1. Go to Settings > System.
  2. Press GET SERVER SETTINGS.

Master Sync

  1. Go to Settings > System.
  2. Next to Master Sync, press Sync.

Troubleshooting

DO NOT UNPLUG, MOVE, RESTART, RESET, TURN OFF OR OTHERWISE INTERFERE WITH YOUR ROUTER OR YOUR ACCESS POINT, UNLESS AN ABACUS SUPPORT MEMBER HAS ADVISED YOU TO DO SO.

A call-out fee will apply for any site visit where the Abacus Support Team finds that the issue was the result of customer error.
