Don't unplug, reset or restart your router or access point unless Nomni support asks you to.

How to tell devices are connected

All devices should appear in the Master's Server list with a green status. Once the connection to the Master and the cloud returns, orders sync automatically and no data is lost. Sync any unsynced orders straight away.

Checklist

  1. Auto-lock off: iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock = Never.

  2. Nomni POS open on the Master: if the Master is on another app, no other device can connect.

  3. Same network: every iPad is on the POS network (use 5G unless advised). Turn off Private Address (Wi-Fi > i) and turn on Local Network for Nomni POS.

  4. Server modes: Settings > Connection. The Master is set to Master, and each other device to Slave.

  5. Device address: the Slave's Master address matches the Master's device address.

  6. App version: all devices are on the same, latest Nomni POS version.

  7. Duplicates: delete duplicate device entries in the Server list.

  8. Reconnect each device.

Unsynced orders

POS freezes at busy times

Check the iPad's free storage and update the app. You can also check on your iPad type and let the support team knows.

Internet is fine but the POS shows a Wi-Fi/offline error

Usually the iPad is on a different network from the Master, or Local Network permission is off. Re-check steps 3–5.
