Nomni Kiosk 1.0.80 adds a safeguard to the Enable custom payment setting. Turning it on now shows a warning and asks for a security PIN, so it can't be switched on by accident and let customers take orders without paying.

What changed

  • Turning on Enable custom payment shows a warning first, then asks for a security PIN.

  • Turning it off works straight away, with no PIN.

How to update

  1. Open the app store your kiosk uses (the Nomni Store app on iMin devices, or Google Play).

  2. Find the Nomni Kiosk app and tap Update.

  3. Open the kiosk and place a test order.

How to turn on custom payment

  1. On the kiosk, open Settings > Payment Method.

  2. Turn on Enable custom payment.

  3. Read the warning: "Enabling Custom Payments may allow customers to choose a custom payment method, complete an order, and receive it without actually paying."

  4. Tap OK to continue, or Cancel to leave it off.

  5. Enter the security PIN.

What you should see: the setting stays on only if the PIN is correct. If you cancel or the PIN is wrong, it stays off.

Only turn this on if your venue checks custom payments at the counter before handing over food.

How to turn off custom payment

  1. Open Settings > Payment Method.

  2. Turn off Enable custom payment.

If something goes wrong

You don't have the security PIN

Email us from the venue owner's address and we'll help you turn the setting on.

Customers can still choose a custom payment you didn't expect

  1. Open Settings > Payment Method and check Enable custom payment is off.

  2. Check the kiosk shows version 1.0.80.

  3. If the option still shows, contact us straight away.
