Quick answer: Open Nomni POS. On Welcome Back , enter your Username (your Nomni Console login) and Password . Then follow the steps below.

Set up Nomni POS on an Android device the same way for hospitality and Grocery POS: log in, choose the device mode, then sync.

Before you start

  • Who: A manager.

  • Device: A Nomni POS Android device (for example Sunmi or iMin), connected to the venue Wi-Fi.

  • You need: Your Nomni Console username and password. For a second device, the Master POS must be on and on the same network.

  1. Open Nomni POS.

  2. On Welcome Back, enter your Username (your Nomni Console login) and Password.

  3. Tap Sign In.

  4. Enter your staff PIN.

What you should see: the POS screen. The app version shows at the bottom of the login screen.

Set the device mode

  1. Tap the menu (three lines) and tap Settings, then Device Mode.

  2. Under Set this device to:, choose Master for your main POS. Choose Slave for every other POS, CFD if this device is a customer display, or Standalone for a single POS that doesn't share orders.

  3. Confirm the warning: "Changing the synchronisation mode may cause some orders to have incorrect status or become unsynchronised. Do you want to continue?"

  4. On a Slave, leave Auto connect on to find the Master, or type the Master server IP and tap Connect.

What you should see: on the Master, its Device IP and the Connected slave devices. On a Slave, the Master it is connected to. Tap Refresh to update the list.

You can't change the mode while there are unsettled orders. Finish or close them first. Changing the mode needs the "Change Device Mode" permission in your access role.

Sync your menu and settings (Master Sync)

  1. On the POS screen, tap the sync button in the top bar.

  2. On Master Sync ("Perform master sync?"), tap Yes.

  3. Wait for Sync Finished. While it runs you'll see each part, for example Sync Product, Sync Staff and Menu Sync.

What you should see: your menu, staff and settings on the device.

Reset Products on the same message downloads all products again. Use it only if products are missing or wrong after a normal sync, and when the venue is quiet.
