What this is for

If your online ordering store takes payments through Stripe, these pages let you connect your Stripe account, look up individual payments and refunds, reconcile settlements and see the application fees charged on each order.

Before you start

  • Your login can see POS > Online Ordering.

  • An email address for your Stripe account, plus director details, date of birth and bank details (account name, bank name, BSB and account number).

  • You're signed in to the Nomni Console at app.abacus.co with a login that can see this page. If it's missing from your menu, ask your account owner to check your role.

Connect Stripe

  1. Go to POS > Online Ordering > Payment Setup. The page is titled STEP 1: SIGN UP and Stripe Payment Setup.

  2. Under Account Detail, enter the Email for your Stripe account and click Setup. You'll see "Redirecting to Stripe ..." and finish the sign-up on Stripe's secure page.

  3. When you're back, check Account Id is filled in and Onboarding Completed shows as done. Click Dashboard to open your Stripe dashboard.

  4. If you use Stripe card readers, click Update Terminal Location so the Location Id is set.

  5. Click Next to continue the online ordering wizard.

Look up a payment (Stripe Payment Transactions)

  1. Go to POS > Online Ordering > Stripe Payment Transactions.

  2. Set the Date Range (From and To) and, if needed, Payment Type, Status, Min Amount and Max Amount. Click Search.

  3. The grid shows Amount, Refunded Amount, Abacus Fee (the Nomni fee), Refunded Fee, Card Brand, Last 4 Digits, Status and Date. Click Export to download it.

Reconcile settlements (Stripe Settlement)

  1. Go to POS > Online Ordering > Stripe Settlement, set From and To, and click Search.

  2. The Transactions tab lists each payment with Amount, Refund, Seller Fee, Payment State and Disburse Ref. The Payouts tab lists each deposit to your bank. Match the Disburse Ref to your bank statement.

See application fees (Stripe Application Fees)

  1. Go to POS > Online Ordering > Stripe Application Fees, set From and To, and click Search. Each row shows the fee Amount, the Refunded Amount, whether it was Refunded, and the Date.

Tips

  • Use Export on each page to give your accountant a spreadsheet.

  • When an order is refunded, the related fee shows under Refunded Fee.

Common problems

  • "Email is not valid"

Check the email has no spaces and is the one used for your Stripe account.

  • "Error connecting Stripe"

Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, contact us.

  • Upload rejected

Documents must be .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .pdf, up to 500 KB.
