Vouchers and gift cards: create, generate, find and refund

What this is for

Create vouchers and gift cards one at a time or in bulk, set up rules that create vouchers automatically, and see every time a voucher was bought or redeemed.

Before you start

  • Your login can see Loyalty Marketing > Vouchers and Gift Cards.

  • You're signed in to the Nomni Console at app.abacus.co with a login that can see this page. If it's missing from your menu, ask your account owner to check your role.

Create vouchers

  1. In the top bar click Loyalty Marketing, then go to Vouchers and Gift Cards > Vouchers and Gift Cards.

  2. Click New Voucher for one voucher, or Generate Vouchers to make many at once.

  3. Choose the Voucher Type, then fill in Amount or Discount Percentage (or a Product for product vouchers), Number of Vouchers, Activation Date, Expired On, Is Active and a Comment. Click Save.

  4. To load codes from a spreadsheet, use Import CSV.

Find or refund a voucher

  1. Search by Voucher Code, Site, Created From / To or Voucher Type. Click a voucher to see whether it's Used and Active.

  2. To refund it, open the voucher and click Refund. You'll see "Successfully refunded".

  3. Click Export CSV to download the list.

Create vouchers automatically

  1. Go to Vouchers and Gift Cards > Rules. Click New Rule or New Product Rule to create vouchers automatically when a customer meets a condition.

See voucher transactions

  1. Go to Loyalty Marketing > Sales > Voucher Transactions. Filter by Code, From, To, Store, Redeem/Purchase and Voucher Type. Each row links to the Invoice Number. Click Export to download.

Tips

  • For product vouchers, only Expiry Date, Activation Date and Is Active can be changed after creation.

  • The import file must be a .csv.

Common problems

  • "Only .csv file is allow"

    Save the spreadsheet as CSV and import again.

  • A customer says their voucher doesn't work

    Search the code and check it is Active, not Used, and between the Activation and Expiry dates.
