Quick answer: In Nomni Console, open Kiosk Setting (app.abacus.co/CloudSetting/KioskSetting) > APPEARANCE SETTINGS. Under Background Photos, upload a new picture in the Intro box. It saves as soon as the upload finishes. The Nomni Kiosk on Android picks up the new picture by itself while it’s online. To change the colour of the Tap to Start bar, change Intro Background under Colours and click Save Colours.
This article is for the Nomni Kiosk app on Android (version 1.0.80). Your kiosk’s look was set up by Nomni when you joined (see Modifying the skin for the Self-Ordering Kiosk). You can now change the pictures yourself.
Change the intro (Tap to Start) image
Log in to Nomni Console and go to app.abacus.co/CloudSetting/KioskSetting (the Kiosk Setting page).
On the APPEARANCE SETTINGS tab, find Background Photos.
In the Intro box, remove the current picture with its remove (×) button.
Drag the new picture onto the Intro box, or click Browse and choose it.
Wait for the upload to finish. There’s no separate save button for pictures.
What you should see: the new picture in the Intro box. Check the kiosk’s Tap to Start screen. While it’s online and signed in, it updates without a sync.
Picture size
Our kiosk design guide (written for the older Windows kiosk) asks for an intro picture of 1080 × 1920 pixels (portrait). The bottom of the screen is covered by the Tap to Start bar, so keep important content in the top 1080 × 1648 pixels. The guide asks for PNG files. After you upload, check how the picture looks on your kiosk screen.

These boxes are on the same Background Photos section. The names are as shown in Nomni Console.

Change the kiosk colours
On the APPEARANCE SETTINGS tab, find Colours.
Pick a colour for each part. For example, Intro Background is the Tap to Start bar.
Click Save Colours.
The Theme Preview on the page shows roughly how the colours look. The kiosk makes the Tap to Start text dark or light so it can be read on your Intro Background colour.
If the picture doesn’t change
Check the kiosk is online. It picks up Console changes only while it’s connected and signed in.
Restart the Nomni Kiosk app.
Check the upload finished in Nomni Console and the new picture shows in the box.
