Quick answer: The Nomni App and Studio were updated on 21 October 2026. Diners may notice a few fixes straight away, such as refunds in Transaction History and faster publishing. Studio also has six new tools: who can see a section, scheduling by day and time, navigation bar presets, new loyalty header designs, a participating locations widget and Carousel Styles. The new tools stay off until you set them up, so your page doesn't change on its own.
This article is for venues using the Nomni App and Studio for their loyalty and ordering page.
What diners may notice
These changes are already live. You don't need to set anything up.
Refunds in Transaction History. A refund now shows as a deduction, with a minus sign. Some older refunds that were missing now appear too.
Perks with no expiry date. Perks saved without an expiry date now show. Before, some were hidden.
Login for ordering. If Require Login for Ordering is on, it now applies to every way into online ordering on your page, including links in your content and perks. Signed-out diners are asked to sign up first.
Nearest store first. Online ordering on your page may ask diners to share their location. If they allow it, stores are listed nearest first.
Participating locations. If you have 2 or more locations and no custom map, your Rewards page now shows a card listing your stores, with a map.
Publishing is faster. When you click Publish in Studio, diners see the change within seconds, not up to 5 minutes later.
Smaller fixes. The sign-up terms now say "Nomni". The app install bar no longer covers the top of the page. Tapping sign-in designs Variant 1 to 4 opens the loyalty page again. Moving between pages is steadier.
In Studio, the Publish button now greys out after a successful publish, and Studio loads without jumping around.
1. Choose who can see a section or element
You can show a section, button, banner or text to some people only. For example, a "Join now" banner just for guests, or a perk button just for your top tier.
For a section
Open your page in Studio.
In the section's header, click the Who can see this section button (the people icon, next to Schedule).
Pick Everyone, Signed-in members, Guests, Members at a tier or Custom.
For Members at a tier, choose the tier. Members at that tier or above see it.
For Custom, click + Add a condition and build your rule from Signed in, Membership tier, Balance, First name or Link parameter. Then choose whether all or any of the conditions must be true.
Click Save, then Publish.
For a button, banner or text
Open the item's ⋯ menu and choose Who can see this….
Pick who can see it, as above.
For a button or banner, use When hidden to choose hide the button, or link somewhere else and enter a different link. People who don't match then go to that link instead.
Click Save, then Publish.
What you should see: the people icon shows a short label, such as "Signed-in members". To check the page as someone else, click Preview as in the preview header and choose You, Guest or Member. For a member you can set a Tier and Balance. You can also enter a Link parameter, for example promo=spring.
Good to know: hidden content is still sent to the diner's browser, it just isn't shown. Don't put discount codes or private links in hidden content.
2. Schedule a section by day and time
A section can now show on certain dates, on certain days of the week, or both. For example, weekday lunch specials from 11am to 3pm.
Open your page in Studio.
In the section's header, click Schedule (the calendar icon). The Schedule Content window opens.
To run between two dates, switch on On certain dates. Click Add start time and Add end time. You can leave either one out.
To repeat every week, switch on On certain days. Pick Weekdays, Weekends or single days.
Under the days, choose All day, or Between and set the two times.
Click Schedule Content, then Publish.
What you should see: the line at the top of the window reads your schedule back, for example "Shows on weekdays, 11:00am–3:00pm." To check another time, click Preview as in the preview header. Under Preview at, click Pick a time. Click Now to go back.
With both options on, the section shows only on those days and within those dates.
Days and hours follow the diner's own phone clock.
A section can have a schedule and a Who can see this rule. It shows only when both allow it.
To stop scheduling, open Schedule, switch both options off and click Schedule Content.
3. Customise the navigation bar
The bar at the bottom of your page has new styles, up to 5 items and new behaviour settings.
In Studio, scroll to Navigation, between your content and Styles.
Click the Navigation bar card, or Customise →. If you see Add navigation bar, click it to add one.
On the Style tab, pick a Preset: Classic, Floating Glass, Compact or Featured Centre. Then fine-tune settings such as Blur, Opacity, Active marker and Labels.
Under Colors, set Background, Item and Active item. Check the Contrast badges stay readable.
On the Items tab, click Add item, rename items, drag to reorder, and choose what happens under When tapped: Go to page, Open URL, Call phone or Send email.
On the Behaviour tab, turn on Hide while scrolling down, Shrink the primary item on other pages or Vibrate on tap if you want them.
Click Publish.
What you should see: the preview updates as you go, and the card shows the preset you picked. Home and your rewards item are built in and can't be removed. With Featured Centre, tick Primary item on the item you want shown larger in the middle. To hide the bar, use the eye button next to Navigation. Your settings are kept. To undo style and colour changes, click Reset to default.
4. New loyalty header designs and a hideable hero
The Loyalty sign in block has two new designs. Variant 5 is a loyalty header with a balance card, a Scan button and up to 4 shortcut tiles. Variant 6 is a scoreboard with a big greeting and balance.
Choose Variant 5 or 6
In Studio, find the Loyalty sign in block and click Edit settings.
Under Design, pick Variant 5 or Variant 6.
Under Content, set the Welcome message. For Variant 5, also set the Signed-out pitch and check the Shortcuts. For Variant 6, set the Tagline.
Under Features, turn on Scan button (QR code) (Variant 5) or My card (QR code) (Variant 6). Turn on Tier progress if you have tiers.
Optional: change fonts under Style and colours under Colours.
Use Preview as to check Signed out and Signed in, then click Publish.
Variant 5 starts with four shortcuts. You can change or remove them, or click Add shortcut. Shortcuts include Perks, Benefits, History, Scan, Order and Find store. Find store only shows if you have 2 or more locations.
Hide or restyle the hero
At the top of Studio, find the Hero banner card.
To hide it, switch it from Shown to Hidden. Your page then opens on its first section, so put your Loyalty sign in block first.
To restyle it, click the Hero styles button. Set Corners, Size and Overlay for the hero, and Size and Shadow for the logo.
Click Publish.
What you should see: hiding the hero keeps all its settings, so switching back to Shown restores it. When diners tap Scan, My card or Show QR, they now see a pass card with your logo, their balance and their QR code. See also Nomni App and Studio: edit the hero (logo, background and call to action).
5. Show participating locations on your Rewards page
Your Rewards page can list your stores with a map, filled in for you. You don't need to paste a map.
In Studio, open Loyalty and go to the Content tab.
Scroll to Participating Locations.
Under Map Display, pick Participating locations widget.
Check the preview: a card such as "2 participating locations" shows under your spend section.
What you should see: diners tap the card to see a map and the list of your stores. To use your own map instead, pick Custom code embed. Your old embed is kept, so switching back restores it.
You need 2 or more locations. With 1 location, the widget hides itself.
Your Store ID and region must be set in Basic Setup.
The Spend Section Title under Section Titles must be filled in, or the whole section is hidden.
6. Carousel Styles
Carousel dot and arrow settings now sit in their own Carousel Styles panel, and dots can use your brand colours.
Open your page in Studio. To add a carousel, click + Add under Content and choose Add carousel.
In the carousel's header, set Layout to Row or Slides.
In the carousel's settings, choose Image shape and Banner text. For Row, choose a Card size. For Slides, you can turn on Loop and Autoplay.
To style the dots and arrows, open the section's ⋯ menu and choose Edit carousel. The Carousel Styles panel opens.
Under General, turn Dots and Arrows on desktop on or off. Under Dots, pick a Style (Pill, Circles or Lines) and set Active dot and Other dots colours.
Click Publish.
What you should see: left blank, the active dot uses your brand colour and the other dots use a faded version of it. See also Nomni App and Studio: add and manage content sections and items.
Troubleshooting
My change isn't showing on the live page
Click Publish in Studio, then refresh the page. Changes usually show within seconds. If Studio still shows Some changes after a few seconds, click Publish again. See Nomni App and Studio: preview, publish and revert changes.
A section shows to the wrong people
Open Who can see this section and check the rule. Guests never match a Balance or Membership tier condition. To include guests, add Signed in is false and choose any. Then test with Preview as.
A scheduled section shows at the wrong time
Check the label on the Schedule button and that you published after setting it. Days and hours follow the diner's phone clock, so a diner in another time zone sees their own times. Dates can take a few minutes to switch over.
The participating locations card doesn't show
Check you have 2 or more locations, your Store ID and region are set in Basic Setup, and the Spend Section Title is filled in. If your old map still shows, set Map Display to Participating locations widget.
A refund shows as -$0.00
If a purchase was refunded to the diner's card, the row can show -$0.00 for now. The refund itself has still gone through.
Diners aren't asked for their location
The prompt only shows if the diner's browser allows it. If they said no before, stores show in the usual order.
