Quick answer: Tap Products in the side menu. To add a category, tap Add Product Category. To add an item, tap Add Product, enter the Product Name, choose a Product Category, enter the price, and save.
This article is for venue owners and managers using Nomni POS on an Android POS terminal. You need permission to change settings. If your menu is managed in Nomni Console, make changes there instead and publish your menus.
Add a category
Open the side menu and tap Products.
Tap Add Product Category.
Enter the category name and save.
Important: Removing a category affects the products in it. The POS shows "Removing this category will affect products associated to it." before you confirm.
Add a product
Go to Products and tap Add Product.
Enter the Product Name.
Choose the Product Category.
Enter the price as Sales Price (Include Tax) or Sales Price (Exclude Tax). You can also enter the Product Cost.
Set Taxable? to say whether tax applies.
Choose the Printer Location so the item prints in the right place.
Add Modifiers or Variants if needed.
Save.
What you should see: The product in its category on the order screen.
Edit a product
Go to Products and tap the product.
Change the details and save.
Error when saving
Products are saved to the master POS. If you see "Failed to update the product to Master POS" or "Your device is disconnected from Master Pos", check this POS is connected to the network and the master POS is on, then try again.
Where to make big menu changes
