Category Time Settings for GrabFood
Merchants can now configure specific availability times for individual menu categories on GrabFood—directly through the Abacus platform. This allows for better operational control and a more streamlined customer experience.


🎯 Purpose

  • Control Category Availability: Merchants can manage when certain categories appear on GrabFood.

  • Enhance Customer Experience: Customers only see what's actually available, reducing frustration and failed orders.

  • Optimize Kitchen Workflow: Limit complex or time-consuming items during busy periods.


⚙️ Key Details

🆕 New Feature

  • Category Time Settings are now available for GrabFood-integrated menus.

  • Set time ranges for each individual menu category.

🔧 Configuration Steps

To set up Category Time Settings:

  1. Go to Abacus Backend

  2. Navigate to:
    Delivery Integration → Delivery Menu

  3. Select GrabFood as the platform

  4. Open the Menu Category Detail View

  5. Click on Menu Category Time Settings to configure

  6. Set a Start Time and End Time for each category

  7. Toggle to Enable/Disable settings per category

📱 GrabFood Platform Behavior

  • Categories will only appear during the assigned time slots.

  • If no time is set, categories follow the store’s regular operating hours.
