How to Access Older Order History in the Nomni App or POS

When using the Nomni POS, you may encounter limitations in viewing older order history. This article explains why these limitations exist and provides steps to access historical records.

Why Can’t I See Older Order History?

  1. App Reinstallation or Deletion: If the Nomni POS is deleted and reinstalled, locally stored order data on that device may be lost. This can restrict the visible order history to recent records only.

  2. POS Order History Limitations: The POS Order History screen typically retains only the last 30 days of transactions. Older records are not displayed in this view.3. Broken or Replaced Master iPad: If the previous Master iPad is broken or replaced, locally stored order history will not appear on the new device. However, the full transaction history can still be accessed through the Nomni backend portal.

How to Access Older Records

Transferring Order History to a New Device

To transfer order history from an old device to a new one:

  1. On the old iPad, navigate to the "Order History" section and select "Push order to server."

  2. On the new iPad, go to Settings > Sync and press "SYNC ORDER SOURCES FROM BACKEND." This will sync the order history to the new device.

Recovering Order History on a New Master iPad

If you are setting up a new Master iPad and need to restore order history:

  1. On the old Master iPad (if accessible), go to POS Settings > Sync tab > Export to back up configurations and order history to the cloud.

  2. On the new iPad, log in with the same account and navigate to POS Settings > Sync tab > Recover Data > Select > Full Backup to restore the data.

To view older order history, you can use the Nomni backend portal or dashboard. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Nomni backend portal.

  2. Navigate to Sales > Invoices to access historical records, including those older than 30 days.

  3. Use the date and time filters to narrow down the orders you want to view.

Additional Tips

  • Regularly back up your data to avoid losing order history during app reinstallation.

  • Use the backend portal for comprehensive reporting and record-keeping, as it provides access to all historical transactions.

By understanding these limitations and utilizing the backend portal, you can effectively manage, access, and recover your order history in Nomni.
