Use this guide to stop online orders for a while, close on certain weekdays, or close for a single day such as a public holiday. You can do all of this yourself.

Before you start

  • Who: a manager.

  • Device: your POS or Nomni Console in a browser.

  • Remember to reopen your store afterwards. It doesn't reopen on its own.

Close online ordering now

On the POS:

  1. Go to the Online Ordering screen.

  2. Tap Close Store.

Or in Nomni Console:

  1. Go to Online Ordering > Configuration.

  2. Set the status to Closed.

  3. Click Save.

What you should see: your online store shows as closed and no new orders come in.

Close on a weekday every week

  1. Go to Online Ordering > Opening Hours.

  2. Find the weekday and mark it Closed.

  3. Save.

Close for one date

You can't close for a single date yet. Instead, untick that weekday in Opening Hours the day before, then tick it again the day after.

Pause Uber Eats or DoorDash

Pause the store in the delivery app's own merchant app. If it doesn't reopen, see Uber Eats store shows closed or paused.

If something goes wrong

  • The store still takes orders: check you saved, and refresh your online store.

  • The store won't reopen: set the status back to open in Online Ordering > Configuration and check your opening hours.
