Before you start

  • Who: Front-of-house staff and managers.

  • Device: Nomni POS on iPad.

  • Permissions and settings: The customer must have a credit account. If setting A6 is on, you need the account password.

Charge an order to a credit account

  1. Build the order and tap Pay.

  2. Choose Credit Account.

  3. Use Search Account to find the customer, or scan their account code.

  4. If asked, enter the account password. This happens when A6. Enforce Password For Credit Account is on.

  5. Confirm the payment.

Nomni POS checks the account balance or limit. If there isn't enough, the payment is refused.

Top up an account

  1. Go to the top-bar menu > Top up account.

  2. Find the account, or scan its code.

  3. Enter the amount.

  4. Choose how the customer pays: cash, card or company expense.

Check an account's history

  1. Open Top up account and find the account.

  2. Open Credit Account Transactions to see paid and unpaid transactions.

If something goes wrong

  • Payment refused: the account doesn't have enough credit. Top it up or use another payment.

  • Forgot password: a manager can reset it in Nomni Console.
