Use this guide if your customer-facing display (Customer Screen app) shows Connected: No or Authorised: No, or doesn't show the order while you ring it up.

Before you start

  • You need the POS the display is paired with and the display, both on the same venue Wi-Fi.

  • On iPads, the Customer Screen and Nomni POS apps need Local Network permission. Check in the iPad Settings app, under each app.

Reconnect the display

  1. On the POS, open Settings > Connection and note the DEVICE ADDRESS.

  2. On the customer display, tap the cog to open Settings.

  3. Check DEVICE ADDRESS on the display shows an address. If it's blank, check the Wi-Fi.

  4. Enter the POS address in IP Address and tap Connect.

  5. If Authorised: No: on the Master POS, open Settings > Connection, find the customer display in the client list and turn on its authorisation.

What you should see:Connected: Yes and Authorised: Yes. Add an item on the POS and it shows under Your Order on the display.

If something goes wrong

  • Device limit exceeded on the Master's Connection page: you have more devices than your plan allows. Remove devices you no longer use from the client list. Message us if you need another customer display licence.

  • New images or banners don't show: after changing them in Nomni Console, tap Connect on the display again to re-sync. See How to customise your CFD display.

  • Drops whenever the internet restarts: ask your IT provider to give the POS a fixed IP address.

For setup and settings, see Customer-Facing Display.
