How to give a variant group a customer-facing Display Label

Show customers a friendlier name for a variant group without renaming it on the POS.

Quick answer: In Nomni Console, open Products and open the product with the variant group. Open the variant group. Then follow the steps below.

A variant group's Display Label is what customers see. The group's name stays the same on the POS and backend.

Before you start

  • Nomni Console in a web browser, logged in as an owner or admin.

Steps

  1. In Nomni Console, open Products and open the product with the variant group.

  2. Open the variant group.

  3. In Display Label, enter the name customers should see, for example "Choose your milk".

  4. Save the group. If you leave it blank, customers see the group name.

  5. Publish your menu so the change reaches online ordering and kiosk.

If something goes wrong

  • Customers still see the old name: publish the menu again and refresh.
