What it does

DEVICE ADDRESS, CONNECT

Enter the Master POS device address and tap CONNECT. CONNECTED and AUTHORISED should both show YES. See "Connect the KDS to the POS".

HARD RELOAD ORDERS FROM MASTER POS (RELOAD)

Reloads all open orders from the Master. Use it when orders are missing or stuck.
​

DEVICE NAME

The name the Master shows in its client list.
​

LOCATION, ORDER TYPES (RESET)

Show only items for one printer location, or only some order types. RESET goes back to all. LOCATION only appears once printer locations have synced from the Master POS.

ROWS (1-8), COLUMNS (1-8)

How many orders fit on one page.

ALERT URGENT ORDERS EXCEEDING (MINS)

Orders older than this are marked urgent.
​

Enable sound, NUMBER OF BEEPS (1-5)

Beep when a new order arrives.
​

ENABLE WORKFLOW STATUS, NUMBER OF STAGES, DISPLAY STAGES, CURRENT STAGE, ORDER CAN BE DONE ON THIS KDS, HIDE ORDER STAGES ON HEADER

Pass orders through stages across several screens. See "Stages".

Display Order Summary, SUMMARY VIEW WIDTH, SUMMARY VIEW MODE

Show a side list that totals items across orders.
​

Display Large Font For Order Items, Extras & Name

Bigger text on dockets.
​

Display Order Number and Table Number

Shows both numbers on each docket.
​

Display Courses

Groups items on the docket by course.
​

Display Item Image

Shows product photos on dockets.
​

Display Product Print Name for Order Item.

Uses the product's print name (for example a kitchen or other-language name).
​

Hide Hold Orders, Display only the orders that have held item(s).

Hide orders with held items, or show only those.
​

Hide Completed Order Items

Removes finished items from the docket.
​

Complete one quantity with single tap

For items with a quantity above 1, each tap completes one.
​

Mark as Ready before marking as Done

The first DONE marks the order ready; the second completes it.
​

Mark as pick up when all order item completed

The order is marked for pick up once every item is complete.
​

Auto bump-off

Completed orders leave the screen automatically.
​

Sort Items by Timestamps, Split Orders by Time

Shows items added later separately, in the order they were sent.
​

Grouped Items: confirm quantity / confirm completed quantity

Asks for a quantity when you complete items in the grouped view.
​

Item Queue: Show Status Description

Shows the item status in the item queue view.
​

Consolidate Orders on Current Page

Combines the same items across the orders on the page.
​

CLEAR ALL CLOSED ORDERS (CLEAR)

Removes closed orders from this KDS. Closed orders are listed newest-completed first.

Start Live Chat Support

Opens a chat with Nomni Support.
​

Reset User Data

Deletes the products and printing templates saved on this KDS and downloads them again. You are asked to confirm first.

UPDATE APP

Opens the App Store to update the KDS.

Printers List, DISCOVER

Find printers on the network for this KDS.
​

Print On Demand

Print a docket from the KDS only when you tap PRINT.
​

Skip docket printing when DONE the whole order

Stops the completion docket printing when the whole order is done.
​

Number of Buzzes

How many times the printer buzzer sounds.
​

Disable Epson Printers

Turn on if you don't use Epson printers with this KDS.
​

Print Test Receipt in Selected Printers (TEST PRINT)

Checks the printer works.

What it does

Color Setting: Prepare/Ready Background and Text

Colours of the Preparing and Ready columns.

Display Order Number, Display Customer Name, Display Order Number Even Has Table Name

What each order shows on the status screen.

Display Delivery Orders

Includes delivery orders.
​

Preparing Columns, Ready Columns, Cell Spacing, Font Size, Insets

Layout. Values outside the allowed range show "Invalid Columns", "Invalid Font Size" or "Invalid Spacing".

Auto Bump After Pickup Time (Minutes)

Removes a ready order from the screen after this many minutes.
​

External Display, Rotate Screen

Use a second screen for the status board and rotate it.
​

SYNC PICTURES

Downloads the status screen images. Turn off the external display first.
​

What it does

TABLE MAPS (RESET)

Show only orders from the table maps you pick. Only appears once table maps have synced from the Master POS.

Order Routing, PREPARATION CAPACITY (Items)

Share items between screens at the same station by how many items each can hold. While this is on, filter rules are not used.

Filtering Rules (NEW RULE)

If the order type is X, then include or exclude a printer location. All three choices are needed to save a rule.

BACKUP DATA, RECOVER DATA

Saves this KDS's settings to a file on the iPad, or restores them. To restore, pick the file from Files > On My iPad > Kitchen Display.

UPDATE APP

Opens the App Store.
