Quick answer: On Nomni POS for Android, open Settings. Use Scale Settings to pick your weighing scale, External CFD to link a customer display, and, on the grocery version, Electronic Shelf Label and Label Server for shelf labels and label printing.
These steps are for Nomni POS admins and managers using Nomni POS on an Android POS terminal. Some settings only show if your staff role has permission.
Connect a weighing scale
Connect the scale to the POS terminal.
Open Settings > Scale Settings.
Choose your scale: CAS PD-II, Magellan Integrated Scale or CAS PND. Choose the off option if you don’t use a scale.
Ring up a product sold by weight to check the weight comes through.
What you should see: The weight from the scale on the item. If the POS says "Scale is disconnected", check the cable and that the right scale is selected.
Link an external customer display
On the POS, open Settings > External CFD.
Turn on Enable External Customer Facing Display. The screen shows this POS’s Device ID and a QR code.
On the customer display, enter the device ID or scan the QR code shown on the POS.
Or type the display’s IP address in CFD IP on the POS and tap Connect.
What you should see: "External CFD is connected". Tap Disconnect to unlink it.
If you see "The device is running in CFD mode, connecting to an external CFD is unavailable", this device is set up as a customer display itself. Use the POS terminal instead. If you see "CFD connection timed out", check both devices are on the same network and try again.
Electronic shelf labels (grocery version)
Open Settings > Electronic Shelf Label.
Enter the Provider, Account, Password and Store ID from your shelf-label provider, then save.
If the connection stops working, tap Refresh Token.
To check what was sent to the labels, look at ESL Logs and tap refresh.
What you should see: "ESL service is connected".
To link a label to a product, open the product and use Input New Tag Code, choose a Template and add a QR Code if you need one.
Important: The shelf-label account details are private. Don’t send them by chat or email.
Label Server (grocery version)
Open Settings > Label Server.
Turn on Enable Label Server.
Enter the IP Address and Port Number of your label server.
Tap Connect & Test, then Save.
What you should see: A successful test, then labels printing through your label server.
Other connected devices (grocery version)
Settings > Peripheral Setting lists Connected peripherals. Tap refresh if a device you plugged in isn’t listed, or Change Type to tell the POS what the device is.
