In your customer database, each customer profile includes two important checkboxes under the Subscriptions section: Campaign Email and Campaign SMS. These checkboxes are designed for internal reference and do not have any direct impact on your email lists or marketing campaigns.

Here’s how these checkboxes work:

Key Points:

  1. Purpose of the Checkboxes:

    • The Campaign Email and Campaign SMS checkboxes are for your reference only. They help you track which customers are potentially interested in receiving marketing communications but do not automatically enroll them in any actual email or SMS marketing lists.

  2. Default Setting:

    • By default, both checkboxes are unticked, even if the customer has given their consent to receive marketing during check-in. This means you will need to manually update these settings if you want to keep track of customers’ preferences in your database.

  3. Manually Updating the Checkboxes:

    • If you decide to tick or untick either the Campaign Email or Campaign SMS checkbox, remember to click the Save button located at the top of the personal details page. Failing to do so will result in the changes not being saved.

By keeping track of these preferences, you ensure your internal customer data remains up-to-date, but remember, any actual marketing lists or campaigns must be managed separately through your email or SMS marketing platforms.
