About

Each Table Ordering app should either be:

  • Assigned - only one or two specific tables will be able to order from it; the customer will tap one of two table numbers

  • Unassigned - any table can order from it; the customer will need to enter their table number on a keypad

Follow the directions relating to the setup that you want.

How to set up assigned tables

Tables can only be assigned on the Table Ordering app, not on the backend.

  1. On the Table Ordering App, tap on Powered by ABACUS in the top right corner

  2. Scroll down to Table > Table Options and tap SELECTIONS

  3. Select 1-2 tables from the popup then tap DONE. The table numbers available will be taken from your Table Map made on the backend.

  4. Tap Powered by ABACUS to exit the settings

Reverse Table Order

When you have one Table Ordering app per 2 tables, you will have the smaller number on the left, and the bigger one on the right (e.g. 1, 2).

This will be reversed (e.g. 2, 1) if you enable Reverse Table Order.

If you want all Table Ordering Apps to have a reversed order:

  1. Enable Reverse Table Order on the backend

  2. Do a Master Sync on your POS, then Notify Clients when prompted

If you want only some Table Ordering Apps to have a reversed order:

  1. On the Table Ordering App (that you want to reverse the table numbers on), tap on Powered by ABACUS in the top right corner

  2. Scroll down to Table > Table Options and toggle on Reverse Table Order

  3. Tap Powered by ABACUS to exit the settings

  4. If you ever run a Master Sync, all of your Table Ordering Apps will be reset to whatever configuration you have on the backend. If this happens, you will need to repeat the above steps on the Table Ordering apps that you want to have a reversed table number.

How to set up unassigned tables

  1. On the backend, go to POS Settings > Table Ordering Settings

  2. Under Configuration, toggle on Allow Table Input. When this setting is turned on, it means that customers will input their table number on a keypad (given their table is activated; see Enable Activate Table)

  3. Click Save

  4. On the Master POS, do a Master Sync then select Notify Clients when prompted
