Quick answer: put the Customer-Facing Display iPad and the Master Nomni POS on the same Wi-Fi, tap the cog on the display, type the Master POS device address and tap Connect, then authorise the display in the POS Client List.

Connect the display to the POS

  1. Make sure both iPads are on the same Wi-Fi and Local Network access is allowed for both apps.

  2. On the Customer-Facing Display, tap the cog in the top left.

  3. Keep the PIN somewhere safe. A lost PIN can't be recovered; you would need to delete and reinstall the app.

To remove the PIN, clear the field and tap outside it. A wrong PIN shows "Wrong PIN. Try again or call another staff".

Scan a customer to an order

Start the order on the POS first, otherwise the customer isn't attached to anything.

  1. Tap SCAN MEMBERSHIP.

  2. The first time, allow the app to use the camera.

  3. The customer shows the QR code or barcode from their membership app or email.

What you should see: "Welcome, ..." and the customer is added to the order on the POS. If you see "Forbidden Camera", turn on Camera for Customer Screen in the iPad Settings app.

Logo, banners and screensaver

Upload these in Nomni Console: the logo under Configuration > Company Profile > Logo, and banners (600 × 400 px, up to 500 KB, three max) or screensaver items (800 × 600, images up to 500 KB, videos up to 5 MB) under POS > POS Settings > Customer Screen > New Item. Don't use spaces in file names.

The display picks up a new logo, banners and screensaver when it connects to the Master POS. If a change doesn't show, open the display settings, tap Connect again, then tap YOUR ORDER.

If you run a donation campaign, the display can ask customers to donate. See "Donation campaigns: collect charity donations at the POS and kiosk".
