Before you start

  • Who: A manager.

  • Device: Nomni POS on iPad (Master).

  • Permissions and settings: Your role must be allowed to edit menus.

Mark an item as sold out

  1. Go to Point of Sale.

  2. Open the menu editor from the top-bar menu picker.

  3. Select the item and mark it as sold out.

  4. Tap Save.

You should see the item marked as sold out. If staff tap it, Nomni POS shows Product Sold Out and does not add it.

Send the sold-out change to other iPads

  1. On the Master iPad, go to Settings > Connection.

  2. Tap Notify Slaves to Sync Product Status and confirm.

Put the item back on sale

  1. Open the menu editor again.

  2. Select the item and clear the sold-out mark.

  3. Tap Save, then repeat Notify Slaves to Sync Product Status.

Use a group item (sub-menu)

A group item is a button that opens a sub-menu, for example a "Coffee" button that opens all the coffees.

  1. Open the menu editor.

  2. Add a group item and give it a name.

  3. Add the products that should appear inside it.

  4. Tap Save. On Point of Sale, tap the group to check the sub-menu opens.

If something goes wrong

  • Another iPad still sells the item: run Notify Slaves to Sync Product Status on the Master.

  • Can't edit the menu: ask an admin to check your role allows menu changes.
