Quick answer: Open Settings on the KDS. Under Colour Settings , set Primary Background and Ready Background . Then follow the steps below.
You can change how dockets look on each Nomni KDS screen so the kitchen can read them quickly.
Before you start
Who: A kitchen manager.
Device: Nomni KDS.
Permissions and settings: If Require Manager access to change settings is on, you need the manager PIN.
Change colours and text size
Open Settings on the KDS.
Under Colour Settings, set Primary Background and Ready Background.
Under Display Settings, set Font Size, Preparing Columns and Cell Spacing.
Tap Save. You should see Setting Saved.
Choose what shows on each docket
In Settings > Preferences, turn on what you need: Display Customer Name, Display Number of Guests, Show Allergy Icons.
To tidy the screen, turn on Hide Completed Order Items or Hide Hold Orders.
Save.
Keep long dockets on screen
Turn on Split docket to fit card. Long orders split across cards. Done on a card completes only the items on that card.
Or turn on Enable docket expand view to expand a docket when you tap it.
Save.
Copy settings to another KDS
Open Export / Import Settings and tap Export.
On the other KDS, open the same screen and tap Import, then choose the file.
Using the iPad KDS app?
The steps above use Nomni KDS for Android (KDS Go) names. On the iPad KDS app the names are different. See "Nomni KDS for iPad: settings explained".
iPad: text size is Display Large Font For Order Items, Extras & Name; rows and columns are on the GENERAL tab.
iPad: hide items with Hide Completed Order Items and Hide Hold Orders.

If something goes wrong
Invalid file type or Failed to import settings: use a file exported from Nomni KDS.
