What this is for
Point earning rules decide how many points customers get when they spend. Point redemption rules decide what they can swap points for. Set both up so your loyalty program works end to end.
Before you start
Your login can see Loyalty Marketing > Loyalty Reward.
Membership levels are set up if you want different rules per level.
You're signed in to the Nomni Console at app.abacus.co with a login that can see this page. If it's missing from your menu, ask your account owner to check your role.
Add a point earning rule
In the top bar click Loyalty Marketing, then go to Point Earning Rules.
Click Add New Point Earning Rule.
Fill in the rule: the Percentage of spend earned as points, the Membership Level, Order Type, Order Source, Min Spent, Max Spent, Max. Points and Expiry Date. Save the row; you'll see "Changes saved successfully."
To make a rule apply when no other rule matches, set it as Default.
If you have more than one site, click Sync to Sites to send the rules to every site.
Add a point redemption rule
Go to Loyalty Reward > Point Redemption Rules and click Add New Point Redemption Rule.
Set the Points needed, the Product the customer gets, and the Expiry Date. Use Min. Points, Max. Points, Min. Spent and Max. Spent to filter the list.
Tips
Only one rule can be the default. To move the default, set another rule as default first.
When percentage-based earning rules are on, redemption is fixed. You'll see "Point Redemption is fixed while Percentage-Based Earning Rules are on."
Common problems
"To move the default, set another rule as default."
You can't untick the default directly. Set a different rule as default instead.
Customers aren't earning points
Check the rule isn't Disabled, the dates are current, and you clicked Sync to Sites.
