Selling your venue: change of ownership with Nomni

What we need from the current and new owner, who approves the change and when billing moves.

Quick answer: Tell us as soon as you sell. The current owner or Super Admin must confirm the change by email. We need the name, phone and email of both the current and the new owner. Your account manager then sends the new owner an agreement to sign. Billing moves to the new owner once they have signed.

This article is for venue owners selling or buying a business that uses Nomni.

Why we check

A change of ownership changes who controls the account and where money is paid. We need the current owner's consent before we make it.

What to send

  1. Email support@nomni.ai from the current owner or Super Admin email address.

  2. Include the venue name, the settlement date, and the full name, phone number and email of both the current and the new owner.

  3. If the bank account is changing to a different ABN, tell us. A new ABN is treated as a change of ownership, even if the owners are the same people.

What happens next

  1. We confirm the current owner's consent. If you emailed from another address, we copy in the current Super Admin email and ask them to reply to approve.

  2. Your account manager sends the new owner the change of ownership agreement to sign.

  3. Once it is signed, we set up the new owner's login, billing and bank details.

  4. We close the previous owner's services and payment methods from the settlement date.

What you should see: a confirmation email when the change is done. Until the new owner signs, charges stay with the current owner.

Brandollars and loyalty

If the venue uses Nomni Loyalty, tell us whether the new owner will keep accepting Brandollars. If they will, diners' balances carry over.

If the old owner can't be reached

Tell us in your email. We will explain what proof we need.
