Quick answer: Ask us to turn on event logging for your business. Nomni POS then records actions like deleted items, price changes, discounts, refunds and cleared orders. When you close the register and print the sales summary, the report shows an Analytics Logs section with what happened during that shift.
These steps are for Nomni POS managers and admins using Nomni POS on iPad. Use it to keep an eye on voids, discounts and other changes staff make on the POS.
Before you start
Event logging uses settings Z10 (product events), Z11 (order events) and Z12 (system events). Z settings are in the Admin group, which is hidden on the POS. Email support@nomni.ai or call us and we’ll turn on the ones you want.
Logging starts from when the settings are on. Earlier shifts have no logs.
What gets logged
Setting | What it records |
Product events (Z10) | Items deleted from an order, quantity changes, item price changes and new items added. |
Order events (Z11) | Cleared orders, deleted orders, refunds and discounts. |
System events (Z12) | The register being opened. |
Each event records the staff member, the time, the register and the order or item it applies to.
See the logs on your closing report
Close the register as you normally do.
When the POS asks what to print, include the sales summary report.
Find the Analytics Logs: section on the printout.
What you should see: A count of each kind of event for the shift, grouped by staff member. If the section is missing, event logging isn’t on, or nothing was logged that shift.
