Quick answer: Nomni POS for Android 2.3.30 (from 28 October 2026) shows the reject reason when the POS rejects an online order by itself, for example because an item is sold out. It also fixes tipped split payments that couldn't be finished, sold-out items staying orderable online, KDS tickets jumping to the end of the screen, and wrong weights from CAS PND scales.
This article is for Nomni POS managers and staff using Nomni POS on an Android POS terminal.
What changed
Rejected online orders now show why. When the POS rejects an online order by itself (for example an item or portion is sold out), the order now shows the reason, the same as when staff reject an order by hand. Before, it usually showed only Rejected.
Tipped split payments can be finished. On an order with a tip and a surcharge (for example a weekend surcharge), paying in parts or splitting by item could leave a small amount, about $1, owing that couldn't be paid, so the sale couldn't be finished. The tip is now shared across the parts, and the receipt matches the same order paid in one go.
Sold-out items reach online ordering. If a sold-out update from the POS got no reply from online ordering, the POS could wait forever and stop sending later changes, so sold-out items stayed orderable online. The POS now gives up on a stuck update after 30 seconds and tries again, waiting a little longer each time (up to 5 minutes).
KDS tickets keep their place. When a customer placed a second pay-later QR order for the same dine-in table, the ticket already being prepared and the new items both moved to the end of the KDS (kitchen display screen). The ticket now keeps its original place.
CAS PND scales read the right weight. With Scale Settings set to CAS PND, the POS could read the weight with the decimal in the wrong place. It now reads the scale's full reading, for example 1.405 kg.
How to update
Finish or hold any open order before you start. Then update every POS in the venue.
Devices with Nomni Store
On the POS, open Nomni Store.
Tap the Nomni POS app for your device, then tap Install latest at the top of the app page (it shows Latest 2.3.30), or Install on the 2.3.30 row.
Tap Install on this device and approve it from your phone.
Open the download and tap Update.
Full steps: Install or update Nomni POS, Nomni KDS or Nomni Kiosk on an Android device with Nomni Store.
iMin devices
Open the iMin app store on the POS.
Find Nomni POS and tap Update.
Sunmi devices
Sunmi shows an update prompt on the POS by itself.
Tap to update when you're not busy. If you tap Cancel, the POS stays on the old version until you update.
What you should see: on Welcome Back, APP VERSION at the bottom left shows 2.3.30. Let the POS finish syncing before you take orders.
How to see why an online order was rejected
On the POS, tap Online Order.
Tap the rejected order to open it.
Expand Order Info if it's collapsed.
Look for Reject Reason: under the payment method.
What you should see: the reason the order was rejected, for example that an item was sold out. Orders the POS rejected before you updated to 2.3.30 may still show no reason.
How to check a tipped split payment
Ring up a small test order and add a tip.
Split the bill by item, or pay part of it on the payment screen.
Pay each part.
What you should see: nothing is left owing after the last part, and the sale finishes. The receipt shows each payment and the tip once, on the Tips line.
How to check your CAS PND scale
Go to Settings > Scale Settings and check CAS PND is selected.
Put an item with a known weight on the scale.
Add a weighed product to an order.
What you should see: the weight on the item matches the scale's display.
Troubleshooting
A rejected online order shows no reason
Check the POS shows version 2.3.30 on Welcome Back.
Make sure Order Info is expanded on the order. The reason is hidden when it's collapsed.
If the order was rejected before you updated, the reason wasn't saved. New rejections will show it.
Sold-out items can still be ordered online
Check the POS is on 2.3.30 and online.
Mark the item sold out again on the POS and wait a minute.
Close and reopen Nomni POS so it syncs.
If it still shows as available, email us the item name and your venue name.
The scale weight is still wrong
Check Settings > Scale Settings is set to the scale you actually use: CAS PD-II, Magellan Integrated Scale or CAS PND.
Unplug the scale cable from the POS, plug it back in and try again.
If it still reads wrong, email us the item, the weight the scale shows and the weight on the POS.
A KDS ticket still moves to the end
Check every POS in the venue is on 2.3.30.
If it still happens, email us the table name and the time of both orders.
