To automate a "Happy Hour" deal, you need to configure a Multipricing Rule. This feature allows you to set specific pricing during a set time period, such as offering $10 cocktails from 7 pm to 8 pm on Friday nights
Create a Multipricing Rule
In the backend, navigate to POS > Sales > Multipricing Rules.
2. Click New Multipricing Rule to create a new rule.
3. Fill in the details, including:
Name: For example, "Happy Hour."
Order Type: Set to "EatIn."
Period: Specify when the rule will apply.
4. Click the Edit (pencil) button to access Multipricing Rule Details.
5. Scroll down to Pricing and set either a discount value/percentage or a fixed price for the "Happy Hour" products.
6. Scroll down to Periods.
6. Click New Period and enter the day(s) and period that you wish "Happy Hour" to apply.
7. Press Save to finalize the rule.
Apply the Multipricing Rule to Products
Go to POS > Products > Products
2. You will see your Products list.
3. Tick all the products that you want to be affected by the "Happy Hour" Multipricing Rule.
4. Click Settings.
5. Go to the Multi-Pricing tab of the pop-up window.
6. In the drop-down box, select "Happy Hour" and click Apply.
The rule will be applied to the selected products and the pop-up will close.
7. You can verify that the Multipricing Rule has been applied by going into any individual product's details. Click the Edit (pencil) button at the right of a product listing.
8. Verify the rule has been applied by checking the Advanced tab of any product's details. You should see "Happy Hour" listed under Multiple Pricing with the discounted price.
Sync Multipricing Rules
Once you've completed the above, you will need to sync your POS to receive all the changes.
Go to Settings > Sync and select Sync Changed Products.
Once synced, your "Happy Hour" prices will automatically activate during the specified times.
Now, each time the Happy Hour comes around, your Happy Hour products will automatically have their new price for that period of time!
