Before you start
Who: Front-of-house staff.
Device: Nomni POS on iPad.
Permissions and settings: Deleting sent items may need a manager, depending on your settings.
Open the item actions
On Point of Sale, find the item in the order.
Swipe the item line to show its actions: Details, Note, Hold, Reorder, Takeaway and Delete.
Add a note for the kitchen
Swipe the item and tap Note.
Type the note, for example "no onion".
Confirm. The note prints on the kitchen docket.
Hold an item
Swipe the item and tap Hold.
Send the order. The held item stays back.
When it's time, use Send Now to send it.
Mark an item as takeaway
Swipe the item and tap Takeaway.
Delete an item
Swipe the item and tap Delete.
If asked, choose a reason.
If something goes wrong
No actions on a line: notes and separator lines have no actions, and paid orders can't be changed.
Can't delete: ask a manager. Your settings may block staff from deleting.
