Before you start
Who: Staff and managers.
Device: Nomni POS on iPad.
Permissions and settings: If A29. Require Discount Reason is on, you must pick a reason.
Discount or re-price one item
On Point of Sale, tap the price of the item in the order.
Choose % DISCOUNT, $ DISCOUNT, modify price or change unit price.
Enter the value and confirm.
You should see the new price on the line.
Discount the whole order
Open the order discount option.
Choose a percentage or a flat dollar amount, or pick a discount from the list.
Enter a reason if asked.
Confirm. The discount shows on the order total.
Apply a coupon code
Scan the coupon, or enter its code.
Check the discount appears on the order.
If something goes wrong
Can't change prices: your role may not allow it. Ask a manager.
Coupon refused: check it's still valid and hasn't reached its usage limit, in Nomni Console > Discount Management.
