Item stuck on Sold Out on Nomni POS: how to reset it

Make a sold-out item available again on Nomni POS, including items that go sold out on their own.

You can reset a sold-out item straight from the POS. You don't need support for this.

Reset one item

  1. On the POS menu, long-press the item to open Product Details.

  2. Tap RESET. The item is available again.

If it stays sold out

  1. Long-press the item again.

  2. Change its tag to New or Popular.

  3. Tap the RESET button at the top. This clears the item's availability.

  4. Still sold out? Mark it Sold Out once more, then tap RESET again to force a refresh.

  5. Go to Settings > Sync, tap Sync all products & extras, then Master Sync. Force close and reopen the app.

Items going sold out by themselves

  • Check whether the item has stock or portion tracking turned on in Nomni Console. When the count reaches zero, the POS marks it sold out automatically. Update the stock count or turn tracking off.

  • If you also sell online, an item snoozed on the online menu can show as sold out. Check Menu Items Snooze.

  • Make sure every iPad is on the latest Nomni POS version. Mixed versions can show different availability.

Marking a variant sold out

A variant can only be marked sold out if it is linked to a product. Link it in Nomni Console, sync, then long-press the product and tap SOLD OUT.

HQ-managed menus

If the steps above don't clear it and your menu comes from head office, ask your HQ admin to republish the menu, then run Master Sync.

Still not fixed?

Contact Nomni Support only if the steps above did not work. Tell us your venue name, which device (Master or Slave), your Nomni POS version, what you tried, and a photo or screenshot of the screen. That lets us go straight to a fix.
