What this is for
A recipe card gives kitchen staff the prep steps for a product right on the docket. It helps new staff make items the same way every time.
Add recipe steps to a product
In Nomni Console, open the product's Product Details page. If it is a new product, save it first. The recipe card only appears after the product is saved.
Open the Stock Management tab and scroll down to Recipe Card.
Click Add Step.
Enter the Step name and its Description. You can also enter a Unit, Measurement and Ingredient.
Repeat for each step. Drag the rows to change their order. Each change saves as you make it.
The KDS downloads product changes, including recipe cards, from the Master POS when it connects to it.
To add recipe cards for many products at once, use the bulk import and choose Recipe Cards.
See the recipe on Nomni KDS for iPad
When an order arrives, items with a recipe card are listed first on the docket. The recipe steps show under the first item.
Tap an item to open its details and see the full recipe.
When the item is done, the recipe is hidden from the docket.
Change the language on Nomni KDS for Android (KDS Go)
On the KDS, open the settings (the cog). If asked, enter the manager PIN.
Tap General.
Under System & Language Settings, open Application Language and pick English or Chinese Simplified. The dockets reload in the new language.
To go back to English, tap Reset.
Tips
Nomni KDS for iPad shows in English only. It has no language setting.
To show a kitchen or other-language name on dockets, set the product's print name and turn on Display Product Print Name for Order Item in the KDS settings.
