Use a loyalty member’s targeted coupons on Nomni POS

Apply member-only coupons when you add a member to an order

Quick answer: Add the loyalty member to the order. If they have targeted coupons, a Targeted Coupon window opens with their coupons. Tap a coupon to apply it, or tap SKIP. You can also open the member’s coupons later from the Discount button.

These steps are for Nomni POS managers and admins using Nomni POS on iPad. Targeted coupons are offers sent to a particular loyalty member, for example a birthday reward.

Apply a member’s coupon

  1. Start an order.

  2. Scan or search the member to add them to the order.

  3. Wait for the Targeted Coupon window. It shows "Loading Targeted Coupons..." while it checks.

  4. Valid coupons are listed first. Tap the one the member wants to use.

  5. Or tap SKIP to carry on without a coupon.

What you should see: The coupon marked Applied and the discount on the order.

Apply it later

  1. With the member on the order, tap the Discount button.

  2. The member’s targeted coupons show in the discount window.

  3. Tap a coupon to apply it.

Things to know

  • A coupon replaces any other coupon or manual discount on the order.

  • The coupon is checked again when the order changes, for example if items are removed.

  • Staff without coupon access need a manager PIN to apply it.

If something goes wrong

What you see

What to do

"Unable To Start Payment" – "The selected targeted coupon is not valid for the current order."

The order no longer meets the coupon’s conditions, for example the minimum spend. Change the order or remove the coupon, then pay.

"Coupon not found or conditions not met"

The scanned coupon doesn’t belong to this member or doesn’t apply to this order.

"Member not found"

Add the member to the order first, then try again.

"Failed to load coupons"

Check the POS is online, then remove and re-add the member.
