Quick answer: On the perk's Information tab, go to Discount configuration. Choose Fixed Amount or Percentage and enter the value. Then pick a Discount target: Entire Cart, Product, Category or Product Variant. For product and category targets, choose a Price flag.
Steps
In the Nomni Console (the Nomni POS back office), click Loyalty Marketing in the top bar, then go to Perks > Perks List. Click Add New Perk, or click the edit icon on an existing perk.
On the Information tab, go to Discount configuration.
Under Discount type, click Fixed Amount (a dollar amount off) or Percentage.
Enter the Discount amount or Discount percentage. A percentage must be between 1 and 100. A fixed amount can be up to 10000, with no more than 2 decimal places.
Percentage only (optional): enter a Maximum discount amount (cap). For example, 20% off capped at $15. The customer gets whichever is lower, the percentage or the cap.
Choose a Discount target:
Entire Cart: the discount comes off the whole order. New perks use this unless you change it.
Product: choose one or more products under Discount products.
Category: choose one or more categories under Discount categories.
Product Variant: choose the Discount product, then the Discount product variant. To discount every variant of a product, use the Product target instead.
For product-based targets, choose a Price flag:
All: discounts every eligible item.
Lowest Price: discounts only the cheapest eligible item.
Highest Price: discounts only the most expensive eligible item.
Optional: set a Discount min quantity and Discount max quantity to control how many matching items are discounted. The max must be the same as or higher than the min.
Click Save Perk.
Examples
$5 off any order: Fixed Amount, 5, Entire Cart.
20% off, never more than $15: Percentage, 20, cap 15, Entire Cart.
Half price on the cheapest drink: Percentage, 50, Category (your drinks category), Lowest Price.
Common messages
"Please select a discount type." Click Fixed Amount or Percentage.
"Please enter discount for perk." Enter a value greater than zero.
"Please select a discount target." Choose Entire Cart, Product, Category or Product Variant.
"Please select at least one discount product." or "Please select at least one discount category." Pick at least one item for the target you chose.
"Discount maximum quantity must be greater than or equal to the minimum quantity." Raise the max or lower the min.
