Quick answer: Most perk problems come from four settings. Check the Redemption platforms, the Perk expiry date and Campaign start date, the Usage limits, and the Targeting rules. They're all in the perk under Loyalty Marketing > Perks > Perks List.
The perk won't save
Save Perk is greyed out on a new perk: pick a template or Start from Scratch first.
"Please enter name for perk." Add a name of up to 80 characters.
"Please select at least one redemption platform." Click Mobile App, POS, Kiosk or Web.
"Campaign start date cannot be later than the perk expiry date." Move the start date earlier or the expiry later.
"The expiry date is in the past. Choose a future date before activating this perk." Pick a future date or clear the expiry.
"Choose either a reset frequency or custom days between uses." Under Usage limits, keep only one of the two.
"Please add the Product Count rule and select the product before saving." Finish the Product Count rule (the Buy X Get Y Free template needs it).
"Perks can only be created and edited from HQ." or "Perks are managed by HQ when EMS is enabled." Sign in to the head office account.
"The perk could not be saved." Try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, contact us with the perk name and the time you tried.
A customer can't see the perk
Check Active - perk is live is on.
Check the Campaign start date has arrived and the Perk expiry date hasn't passed.
Check the platform the customer is using is selected under Redemption platforms. For example, a perk set to Mobile App only won't show on the POS or Kiosk.
Check the Targeting rules. If the customer fails a profile rule such as Age, Birthday, Customer Tag, Gender, Is New User, Postcode, Order Inactive or Join Date, the perk is hidden. Turn on Display perk when customer is ineligible to show it anyway.
Check Per-user expiry (days). If it's set, the customer's own window may have ended. They'd see "Your Perk has expired."
My Birthday perk only reaches some birthday members
This is how the Birthday rule works. The Birthday Reward template sets the Birthday rule to the month you create the perk in. For example, a Birthday perk created in October only reaches members whose birthday is in October. It doesn't move on to November by itself.
To reach members with birthdays in another month:
In the Nomni Console, go to Loyalty Marketing > Perks > Perks List and open your Birthday perk.
Click Next to go to the Eligibility tab, then find the Birthday rule under Targeting rules.
Change the month to the one you want.
Click Save Perk.
Tip: to run birthday offers all year, create a new Birthday perk each month, each with that month in the Birthday rule.
What you should see: the perk shows for members whose birthday is in the month you chose.
The perk shows but won't redeem
"Spend $X more to use this Perk." The order is below the Min spend.
"Perk is only available for [platforms]." The customer is ordering on a platform that isn't selected.
"Add [product] to your cart." The perk needs a product that isn't in the cart.
"This coupon has already been redeemed." It's a Single use perk and the customer has used it.
"This coupon can only be used again on [date]." A Weekly, Monthly or custom-days reset is still running from the customer's last use.
"This coupon has been fully redeemed." The customer has reached Max redemptions per user.
"Purchase X more [product] to redeem [product]." It's a stamp-card perk and the customer hasn't reached the count yet.
The discount amount looks wrong
For a percentage perk with a cap, the customer gets whichever is lower, the percentage or the cap.
Check the Price flag. Lowest Price and Highest Price discount only one item.
Check Discount min quantity and Discount max quantity.
Check Include variant pricing in Min Spend calculation. When it's off, only base prices count towards the minimum spend.
